New Navigation Enhancements

We've made three updates to improve your navigation experience in Fleetio:

  1. Fleetio's Global Sidebar now collapses, giving you more screen space to work with.
  2. Settings and Help & Support menu items have been added to the Global Sidebar.
  3. The profile, notification, and login settings have moved to a new Profile Menu at the top-right corner of the desktop app.

Add Custom Fields to Specific Vehicle Types

Fleetio owners and admins can now add custom fields to specific vehicle records in Fleetio using the Vehicle Type field. For example, if you wanted to identify the type of bucket installed on your bucket trucks, you could add a custom field that only applies to "Bucket" vehicle types (see image). 

Available for all plans with access to Custom Fields.

Repair Order (RO) Notifications Update 🎉

We’re excited to introduce an update to the Repair Order (RO) notifications system! Owners and administrators can now easily create custom notification policies for repair orders and assign subscribed users to specific vehicle groups directly from the system settings. This update ensures that users can efficiently manage notifications, keeping all relevant parties informed and up to date with repair updates from shops. With this enhancement, communication becomes smoother, and managing repairs across vehicle groups is more streamlined than ever.

Update Vehicle/Asset Terminology to Fit Your Fleet

You can now switch the term Vehicles to Assets in Fleetio to better represent the makeup of your fleet.

If you're an Account Admin or Owner, you can make the update by navigating to Settings > Administration > General Settings and setting the Vehicle System Label to your preferred system label.

Updating the Vehicle System Label to Assets will change the name of vehicle fields, reports, and menu items from Vehicle to Asset in Fleetio's web app only.

Available to all plans.

Use Saved Views to Keep Track of Your Fleet's Parts

Saved Views are now available on the Parts Index, allowing you to personalize and save index configurations for future use. 

Control how you visualize and keep track of Parts in Fleetio by:

  1. Saving Parts configurations (filters, sorting, columns) as a Personal View for future use.
  2. Sharing views with team members to keep everyone on the same page.
  3. Adding and arranging the Standard, Personal, and Shared View tabs that are most important to you.
  4. Filtering based on the location of parts, status (out-of-stock or in-stock), and archived parts.

Working with Ford Pro™ Telematics, we are proud to share the expansion of our embedded integration with Ford modem-equipped vehicles and Ford Pro™ plug-in device technology. 

Now, Fleetio and Ford Pro™ Telematics subscribers can:

  • Connect their telematics account to the Fleetio platform
  • Ensure preventive maintenance compliance across the entire fleet
  • Centralize critical fleet health data within Fleetio

Through direct integration of data from Ford Pro™ with Fleetio's platform, users can proactively monitor vehicle utilization trends, create accurate replacement programs and ensure preventive maintenance compliance is achieved across the entire fleet.

Track Part Warranties and Flag Warrantable Parts in Work Orders

Warranty management now includes tracking and surfacing part warranty opportunities. Once added in Fleetio, warrantable parts will be flagged on a work order when they're replaced, making it easier to identify warranty opportunities when service is completed. To get started, we've added warranty-related columns to the Parts Import template. You can also add warranty details to an individual part.

Alerts on Work Orders

When a part is under warranty and replaced on a work order, the technician will be alerted and asked to confirm the part replacement. There's also a checkbox when adding warranty terms to a part that specifies if the part should be retained.

Part Warranty Opportunities Report

Find this report in the new Warranty section of the report menu. You can customize the columns to display details like the original work order the part was installed on, the work order where the part was replaced, the part number, and more. 

Once you have the details you want, you can save and schedule it so it lands in your email when you need to review for claim submissions.

Part warranty features are available on Premium plans.

Introducing New Shop Statuses for Better Transparency in Your Maintenance Network

Fleetio has enhanced the Maintenance Shop network to provide more transparency around shop statuses. The previous "in-network" and "out of network" labels have been replaced with three new, more precise shop statuses:

  1. Verified for shops that are available for immediate use 
  2. Unverified for shops that need to sign Fleetio's terms and conditions before they can service your assets
  3. Unavailable for shops that require an invitation to Fleetio's shop network before they can service your assets

We've also improved the Shop Directory UI by making status banners more prominent and introducing new map pins for easier navigation. These updates offer users a clearer view of shop availability and integration status with Auto Integrate, ensuring a more seamless experience.

New Telematics Integration with Razor Tracking

Razor Tracking now integrates with Fleetio to automate telematics data from vehicles and heavy-equipment. 

This new integration allows you to sync daily odometer readings and vehicle location data from Razor Tracking devices directly to your Fleetio account and help your operation: 

  1. Prevent Costly Breakdowns: Automate daily meter readings from Razor Tracking devices to trigger preventative maintenance reminders in Fleetio.  
  2. Maximize Asset Use: Turn automated meter readings into custom vehicle and equipment utilization reports in Fleetio to make the most of each piece of equipment. 
  3. Support Driver Issues: Troubleshoot driver and vehicle issues remotely by syncing Razor Tracking vehicle location data alongside maintenance history in Fleetio.
