Announcing Sensor Data on the Vehicle Overview Page

The latest sensor data release brings a vehicle's fuel level, battery voltage, ignition status, tire psi (if available), and more to the Vehicle Overview.

This new view automatically updates as Fleetio gets fresh values from a connected vehicle. Now, all you have to do is go to the Vehicle Overview to check the last time the vehicle was operated, as well as the battery voltage or DEF level (for applicable vehicles).

If you have customized the overview layout, you can find this new card by selecting Personalize, then Manage Overview Layout.

Sensor data is available to Fleetio customers with a Samsara, Geotab Pro, and Geotab Pro Plus plan, and specific sensor values will vary based on the year, make, and model of the vehicle.

Add vehicles to Service Programs based on any vehicle attribute

We’re excited to announce a new feature for Fleetio that makes maintenance even easier. Now, you can select from a wider range of available attributes when adding vehicles to a Service Program. Any standard vehicle field or user-configured custom field can now be applied to select vehicles for a service program. This means you can customize your vehicle maintenance program to better fit your needs.

Having the right attributes for your vehicles makes maintenance hassle-free. With Fleetio, you can select from a broad list of vehicle attributes such as make, model, year, VIN, Type, and more. This way, you’ll have all the information you need to keep your fleet running smoothly.

Sensor Data Lets You Monitor Vehicle Health at a Granular Level

Fleetio is now displaying real-time sensor data on the vehicle page for Geotab and Samsara integration customers.

This new capability unlocks the power to investigate what condition the vehicle was in at the exact moment a fault was triggered, or monitor driver safety by viewing seatbelt status or road speed (if available).

If sensor data is available in your account, you'll be able to add a new Telematics tab to your vehicle page. This is where you'll be able to select up to four sensor values at a time and view them in a variety of configurations.

Right now, sensor data is only available for Samsara, Geotab Pro, and Geotab Pro Plus integration customers. Telematics devices, vehicle year, and vehicle make can affect which sensor values are available in Fleetio. View the video above or read more in the Help Center for tips on using the new chart.

With this release, we also added sensor values as columns on the Vehicle list. These columns will show the last live data point, which is in real-time, so you can track fuel level, battery voltage, and more as your vehicles hit the road every day.
