Manage Meter Entries from Fuel Integrations with More Control

There's now a new meter setting available for native fuel card integrations. It can be enabled or disabled for one or all of your applicable fuel card integrations in your account.

If enabled, the Auto Void Meter Entries setting will automatically void incoming meter readings from fuel card entries. Although these readings will be automatically voided, meter records will still be created for each vehicle to report against.

Additionally, you’ll have the option to un-void any meter generated through this setting to secure the integrity of your meter data. This new setting is not enabled by default, so you will need to turn it on in your fuel card settings, which can be found within the integrations section of your account settings.

Bulk Import Vehicles Directly from Telematics Devices

This integration improvement makes it easier to add vehicles to Fleetio for those with native telematics integrations.

Import your assets directly from telematics devices

  • There's a new prompt when setting up an applicable telematics integration for the first time. Choosing to sync your vehicles using telematics devices will add the devices and their assigned vehicles, making for faster account setup. You also have the option to just import devices without syncing vehicles.

Create assets from unassigned telematics devices

  • For any unassigned telematics devices not linked to a vehicle, you can now use bulk actions on the Telematics index to complete multiple assignments.

Update vehicle information in bulk

  • Once vehicles are imported directly from telematics devices, Fleetio will decode the VIN for each asset and update any available vehicle specifications automatically visible on each vehicle's profile page.

Add and Manage Warranty Coverages With Ease

We've made it easier to add and view warranty details in Fleetio. Here's what's new:

  • View warranty records for all of your assets on the new index, now accessible from the main navigation menu. You can read about managing columns, sorting, and filtering on the new index here.
  • Import warranties from a CSV file. A new warranty template is now available to make uploading and mapping an import smoother. Check out the import guide here.
  • Attach documents such as PDFs with coverage details to a warranty.

Expanded Admin Permission Control

We have added more granular permission options for the Administrator User Type in Fleetio. This allows you to set certain team members as admins and gives you the flexibility to grant "full", "some" or "no" access to the following permissions:

  1. Manage user & roles
  2. Manage General Settings
  3. Manage subscription & billing information
  4. Export all account data
  5. Manage groups
  6. Manage webhooks
  7. Manage integrations
  8. Manage integration links
  9. Manage SAML connectors
  10. Manage security settings

Adding these additional permission options with the option to customize access allows team members to perform specific administrative tasks without giving them full control over the entire system. This approach enhances security by minimizing the potential impact of unauthorized or accidental actions.

The Average Cost Method is now available!

Fleetio is introducing the Average Cost Method, our newest inventory valuation method, to enhance parts cost data precision and simplify related accounting processes. This method calculates the average cost of each unit of inventory at each location by dividing the total cost of parts on hand by the total number of parts available for use. Use Average Costing to gain insights into cost trends and support your reporting and accounting needs.

Meter Syncing Improvement for Geotab

We've made the meter value selections more intuitive for our integration with Geotab.

Now, when you enable primary and/or secondary meter syncing on a device, Fleetio will auto-detect the meter type based on the vehicle settings and bring it into Fleetio.

This improvement is more aligned with how other native telematics integrations work.

You can enable meter syncing individually or in bulk on the Telematics Devices index.

Introducing the Work Order Calendar View

  1. Enhanced Scheduling: Work Orders in Fleetio now have two new date fields: Scheduled Start Date and Expected Completion Date. With these new date fields, you can now plan your work orders with precision, optimize technician/mechanic scheduling, and have an accurate idea of vehicle availability.
  2. Calendar View: By inputting a Scheduled Start Date, you’ll be able to view upcoming services in a calendar view organized by week, month, vehicle, and assignee. The visual representation lets you instantly identify pending or completed orders.
  3. Insightful Reporting: The new date fields have been integrated into relevant reports, allowing you to see how often Actual Start Dates align with Scheduled Start Dates and how often Actual Start Dates align with Completion Dates. These news fields will help you reduce downtime from unexpected delays.

Fleetio's Work Order Calendar View offers flexibility and clarity, making it easier to find information and manage tasks. We believe this feature will significantly streamline your work order process.
