Find the Right Shop Faster with Smarter Shop Directory Search

Searching the Shop Directory is now more intuitive, making it easier to find the maintenance providers you need. Whether you're searching for a specific shop in a specific city or trying to locate a provider for a particular service, search results are now more accurate and better aligned with your intent.

What's new:

  • Combine shop names and locations – Search naturally with terms like "Valvoline Chicago" or "Jiffy Lube Atlanta" to quickly find the right shop in the right area.
  • Search by service – Looking for an oil change, tire repair, or another maintenance service? Search by the work you need to find shops that offer it.
  • Get more relevant location results – City and location searches now return results that better reflect Fleetio's Shop Directory, improving accuracy for location-based queries.
  • See results that match the map – As you move the map, search results update to better reflect the visible area and your search.
  • Find shops despite small typos – Mild misspellings, like "goodyeer" or "peterbuilt," can still return relevant shops and suggestions.

These improvements help reduce missed results and make it faster to connect with the right maintenance provider.

New to AI Service Advisor: Work Order Assessments

Closing out work orders often requires manually checking labor, completed work, and documentation to determine whether everything is ready. Work Order assessments now bring AI-powered guidance directly into the work order, helping reviewers quickly identify which jobs are ready to move forward and which ones could address additional service or issues.

You can also run an assessment on demand whenever you want a fresh evaluation. As work orders change, assessments can be rerun to reflect the latest labor, parts, line items, linked maintenance, and other work order details. When a work order is completed, its latest assessment carries over to the resulting service entry, helping preserve context.

Already using assessments? Work Order Assessments are automatically available using your existing Assessment settings—no additional configuration is required.

New to assessments? You can enable them from Settings → AI Service Advisor.

Fleetio's AI Service Advisor is currently in Open Beta for a limited time.

Connect parts and tires ordering with your maintenance workflow

Every purchase order adds time to the maintenance process. Parts and Tires Ordering powered by PartsTech helps fleets save up to 15 minutes per purchase order by automatically syncing purchase order details back into Fleetio after an order is placed, reducing manual entry and keeping procurement connected to your maintenance workflow.

When you're ready to source parts or tires, you'll be taken to PartsTech, where you can view suppliers, pricing, and availability—all in one place—before placing your order. Once the order is submitted, the purchase order is automatically synced to Fleetio, helping you maintain accurate records without extra administrative work.

Get more reporting value with new Number, Currency, and Date & Time data types for Custom Fields

Custom Fields give you the flexibility to capture the additional operational data your fleet needs across assets, vendors, service entries, and other standard records. But when every value is stored as free-form text, inconsistent entries can make that data harder to sort, filter, and trust in reports.

So we added new Number, Currency, and Date & Time field types to help you capture critical data in a consistent, report-ready format. Track budgets, invoice amounts, renewal deadlines, odometer thresholds, purchase dates, and more in the right format from the start. This reduces manual cleanup and makes your data more reliable for reporting and day-to-day workflows.

Available to Professional and Premium plans.

Stay in control of equipment assignments with Jobs

When equipment moves from job to job, it can be hard to know where each asset is, how long it has been there, and whether it is ready for what comes next. Jobs brings assignment details into one place so teams can better understand how equipment is being used, where it is needed, and what may need attention before it moves again.

With Jobs you can:

  • Know where equipment is working – Create your Jobs board, manage and view assigned assets, job details, and assignment history in one place so teams can make faster decisions with fewer calls, messages, or spreadsheet checks.
  • Keep assignments current as equipment moves – Use geofence events to automate job assignment changes and maintain a reliable record of where each asset is assigned.
  • Act on service, reporting, and billing needs – Use assignment and usage records to plan maintenance, follow up on issues, and support utilization, billing, and cost allocation with less manual work.

Jobs helps teams turn equipment assignments into clear, actionable context: where equipment is working, how long it has been there, and what needs to happen to keep it ready for the next job.

Jobs is available on Premium plans.

Manage fuel and maintenance spending with the Coast fuel card, now embedded in Fleetio

Fuel management works best when it's connected to the rest of your fleet operations. With the Coast fuel card now embedded directly in Fleetio, you can issue cards, manage spending, and monitor fuel purchases without switching between systems.

Create and assign fuel cards, set spending controls, and keep fuel and maintenance transactions tied to the vehicles and drivers you already manage in Fleetio. You'll spend less time managing multiple systems while gaining better visibility into your total cost of ownership.

Using your Coast fuel card for maintenance at a vendor through the Shop Network also means you'll pay 0% processing fees on maintenance transactions, helping you get even more value from every repair.

*Cards issued by Celtic Bank. Subject to credit approval.
